Two Great Lessons

One of the things is the greatness of sin. No one can know the greatness of sin until they have felt it because there isn't any way to measure sin, except how it condemns us in our own conscience. The Law of God shows us and we feel the terror in our being. That's what has to happen with us, it has to scare us by our conscience telling us what's wrong. Then we must realize the blood of Christ and its ability to cleanse us. Until we've been washed ourselves, we’ll know nothing about the blood of Jesus Christ. We need to feel it personally… there are two great lessons a person must learn in life and learned by experience before they can be a Christian. First, we must learn that sin is a terrible, awful, evil thing. Second, we must learn that the blood of Christ is a very precious thing. Now you take them and pull them apart and push them back together and you'll see. If you get that, you're going to be on the right track. (Excerpted from the sermon, "Have We Felt It?"
